Wire thread insert is a new kind of fastener. It is a new technique to increase strength inner thread and repair it. It is usually forming cool rolling stainless steel wire with high strength, high accuracy and high smooth finish. It is the concentric for inner and outer screw thread. Wire thread insert has been assembled to be a high precision inner screw thread according to the relative standard, its varied capability is much better than the inner screw thread which is directly formed by thread wimble.
The accuracy of the well-assembled wire thread inserts inner screw thread hole will lie on the making tolerance of its section form and the tolerance scope of its assembled bottom holes screw thread. The latter will mainly lie on the tapping precision of its formed bottom hole, it is usually formed 6H grade, when the precision high, it will be the tolerance scope within 5H,4H grade, the British uniform standard screw thread precision is 2B,3B wire thread insert users may choose the specialized thread wimble ,the way of tapping(hand tapping, machine tapping) and the lubricating fashion etc according to their required tolerance scope, they will be assuring to meet esteemed your inspected precision and your use requirements.
Free-running thread insert notched(GJB119.1A-2001,HB5513-96,GB/T24425.1-2009),it is a basic form of wire thread insert, and it is a most common type in its application.
Free-running thread insert unnotched (GJB119.2A-2001,HB5514-96,GB/T24425.1-2009) for blind hole or deep hole, when the screw was screwed down, its end would not touch the installing handle of wire thread insert, its screw thread hole could be selected the length of wire thread insert will be longer than the screw nail itself.
The Standard of Wire Thread Inserts
Before 2010, thread inserts in China are in accordance with Aerospace Standard (HB series in China) and military standard (GJB series in China in order to bridge a gap in the National Standard, Standardzation Administration of the People's Republic of China / Fastener TC(SAC/TC85) authorizes our factory to establish the National Standard for wire thread inserts(GB/T 24425.1~GB/G24425.6-2009) in 2008. Mr. Shi Wenxiang, the director of our factory, drafts the standard which includes "General type wire thread inserts" "General type wire thread inserts for blind hole" "Prevailing torque type wire thread inserts" "Prevailing torque type wire thread for blind hole" "International thread for wire thread inserts" and "Specification for wire thread inserts, which have been issued officially on March 1st, 2010.
Ring Gauge Measuring "B" Value
Our factory makes a key breakthrough in gauging of "B" value in wire thread inserts with rich experience of many years. And we develop a ring gauge to make precision measurement of "B" value on the basis of abundant theoretical principle.
"B" value ring gauge plays an important role in manufacturing and testing of wire thread inserts, which gives an essential definition to their manufacturing and test method as well as pass - rate standard by its exact data.

All sizes of wire thread inserts can be customized according to the requirements or the related international standards such as BS, ANSI, DIN, etc. from the clients.
Installation of Wire Thread Inserts
Drilling
Aiguille's diameter of drilling should be selected first before thread processing. The principle is the thread internal diameter of screw hole should be accordance with relative standards after tapping. Select different aiguille's diameter for the different materials. The above table shows the corresponding aiguille's diameter and approximation for regular sizes in general condition.

Tapping
Tapping with special screw tap of wire thread insert. Check with the corresponding screw control plug gauge whether the screw hole meet the precision requirements after tapping. This step is necessary especially a new screw tap starts to use or to use an old one has been wore and tore.
Inserting
Wire thread insert makes use of an expert tool to lock the installing handle, by circumgyrating the installing handle, make its diameter to be shorter and spindle into the screw hole along screw thread line of the screw hole. Our factory can supply three kinds of specific split spindle inserting tools according to customer's requirement.
Tang Breaking Off
When select a thread insert with notch, we should break off the installing handle by using a tangles tool. We can supply rebounded tangless tool, which can prevent the conducing last buckle's distortion of the wire thread insert when we break off the installing handle. The last buckle of wire thread insert should not be disengaged from the teeth groove of the internal screw thread, and no transformation or burrs after tangless.
