Galvanized steel is the kind of steel that has gone through the galvanization process. In this process, steel is dipped in the hot molten zinc so that after it is cooled down, it develops a layer of zinc over it. The layer of zinc acts as a barrier between the steel and the environmental conditions preventing it from oxidizing. Now, when the galvanized steel is manipulated to form sheets of steel, the end product is called galvanized steel sheets. Galvanized steel sheets are also produced by immersing ordinary steel sheets directly into hot molten zinc.
