Lensa cembung Plano berguna untuk berbagai aplikasi. Lensa ini dibuat dari kaca optik BK7A A (atau rancangan pelanggan) dan disertakan tidak dilapisi. Lapisan anti pantulan tersedia seperti yang tercantum di bagian sebelumnya. Untuk memesan lensa berlapis anti-refleksi, tambahkan panjang gelombang dalam nanometer ke nomor produk. Lensa ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai cermin kosong jika diperlukan kaca spion cembung. Bila digunakan untuk memfokuskan berkas sinar yang dingin, cahaya harus menjadi insiden pada permukaan lensa yang melengkung.
