Lutein Oil Suspension 10% is a brownish-yellow to reddish-brown liquid of natural mixed carotenoids
in sunflower oil. The mixed carotenoids are extracted from marigold flower and comprise primarily
lutein, as well as small amounts of zeaxanthin. Gentle warming less than 40°C and thorough mixing
before use will homogenize the product
The Lutein used in this form meets all requirements of the relevant monographs of JECFA and
USP when tested according to these compendia
As a coloring agent and a nutrient for oil-based food such as margarine and edible oil. Also suitable
for manufacturing soft-shell capsules.
The effects and functions of lutein esters mainly include antioxidant, supplementation of pigment in the eye, and enhancement of immunity.
